Brandon Wardell is a musician, producer, performer, and one of the creative and operational forces behind Under the Streetlamp—a Chicago-based vocal group bringing the spirit of classic American music to stages around the world.
With four nationally broadcast PBS specials and an international touring schedule, Under the Streetlamp combines rich harmonies, powerful musicianship, humor, personality, and the energy of a live rock ’n’ roll show.
Brandon performs with the group and helps guide its creative and production work, including musical development, arranging, recording, show development, touring, and live presentation.

Brandon Wardell is a performer, music producer, theatrical producer, director, writer, technician, engineer, and lifelong student of the art of putting on a great show.
A native of the Carolinas, Brandon grew up as his father’s “roadie,” helping set up hundreds of club shows before he was old enough to attend them as a customer. That early education became the foundation for a career spanning Broadway, film, television, concerts, immersive theater, live events, and music production.
A Tony Award-winning and five-time Tony Award-nominated producer, four-time Grammy Award-nominated recording producer, and proud member of the Recording Academy, Brandon is equally comfortable under the spotlight, behind the console, in the rehearsal room, or loading in before the audience arrives.
He specializes in creating shows specifically for the event, audience, and venue—because no two stages, rooms, or moments are exactly alike.
